I have found that in instances like this, often times it is a case of "you can either be right... or happy" In todays age, everyone has to be right. no if's and's, or but's. However, as a stepdad, I've found that I would readily pay my wife's ex child support and simply be there for the kids instead of drag them to mediation ever month. In the end, being loving, compassionate, and understanding for the kids has ended up strengthening my relationship with them. And not talking bad about their father has actually led to him being civil to me now. Nice guys may not finish first, but they certainly don't finish last!!!
